“Ballo” 與 “graf” 是一個希臘文的組合字，代表”球”與”書寫”。在北歐，Ballograf 即是原子筆的代名詞
1939年，鑒於即將爆發的大戰，文具銷售員Erik Spitzer離開了故鄉奧地利準備移民至美國。
在顛沛流離的過程中，戰事推遲了Erik的移民夢，命運最終將Erik 安排落腳於中立國瑞典境內，而北歐國民書寫品牌Ballograf的故事也就此開啟。
